几乎每个猫狗主人都会在某个时候觉得自己家猫狗身上有臭味，尤其是狗狗更明显。这里我们就分3章逐个讨论宠物身上臭味的来源，今天第一章就讲一下猫狗臭味的最主要来源口臭。
猫非常爱干净，总是清洁自己，所以身体上的臭味90%是来自口腔，而有口臭的狗狗几乎占所有狗狗的100%了，几乎每个主人都问过我，怎么祛除狗嘴里的气味。
口臭的来源基本有3大类：
1：口腔内炎症和腐败的食物散发的气味。包括口炎、舌炎、牙龈炎、口唇炎、口腔内肿瘤，这些疾病导致溃疡溃烂，散发出臭味。还有就是经常吃软食物或者肉类，食物塞在牙缝里，时间长腐烂散发臭味
2：鼻咽部位感染。这个一般不多见，区别起来也很容易，包括鼻炎、咽喉炎、鼻窦炎、扁桃体发炎。一般会伴随流鼻涕，脓性鼻涕，咳，同时用餐巾纸擦下的鼻涕伴有恶臭。
3：同样是常见的肠胃疾病导致的，食管炎、胃炎、胃溃疡，肠炎，胃内异物。一般犬会经常有规律或者没有规律的呕吐，腹泻。呕吐物中或许有异物，或有血丝，拉稀中可能有粘液或者血丝。
知道了口臭的成因，不过想彻底消除口臭可不是一件容易的事情，确诊狗狗的口臭来源后有针对性的治疗。
1：猫狗每周刷牙一次，用儿童牙刷和淡盐水，最开始猫狗可能不配合，不要强求每个部位都刷到，门牙犬齿刷到就可以随后给零食做奖励，逐渐增加刷牙的面积和时间。
2：有炎症的消炎，没有炎症的肠胃消化不良可以每周定期给酸奶，乳酸菌素片等等帮助消化的食物。
3：每周可以给狗狗2-3次狗咬胶，或者狗骨头狗咬绳之类帮助磨牙的食物，能尽量清理牙垢。
4：每周观察一次口腔里是否有溃疡，如果有最好每天观察是否扩大或者持续不康复，如果是需要“特别”关注……。
关于狗的牙齿情况，除非到必须情况否则不建议洗牙，我不是说洗牙不好，就治疗牙垢、结石等时候洗牙是很好的工具，不过一些医院的医生水准有待提高，经常出现洗牙后牙齿松动甚至脱落的情况，得不偿失。
